A Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 supercar has been recently crashed in California after its driver had a few drinks and then decided to test the top speed of his ride.
A 35-year old driver of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 in question has crashed his Italian supercar into a central reservation on Interstate 15 in California on Saturday. According to the local media, the man was travelling at 100 mph in the Murcielago and the Police believes that the accident was caused because through drink driving. The road was closed for 20 minutes and the driver was taken to hospital with burns.
Witnesses have said that the crash took place on Saturday at 11:20 PM (local time), north of the Mission Road near Fallbrook and the supercar drifted from the right lane into the crash barrier. The result was what you can see in the images posted below. As a quick reminder, the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 has been officially presented to the public back in 2006, during the Geneva Motor Show. The model is getting a 6.5 liter engine under its hood which is producing a total output of 640 PS (631 HP / 471 kW) at 8,000 rpm. The price for the Italian supercar in the United States was set at 318,800 USD MSRP.
