The Italian based automaker Lamborghini is planning to introduce a Roadster version of the brand new Veneno, which might hit the market in more units than the coupe.
After it was officially presented to the public back in March 2012, during the Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere, the Lamborghini Veneno is ending up in our news once again, this time with a rumor which is saying that the model might receive a drop top version. According to the guys at Cars UK, the new Lamborghini Veneno Roadster will have the same tweaks as its solid roof brother but the model will be produced in more units and it will also be pricier.
As for the engine used, the same 6.5 liter V12 unit from the regular Veneno will be used. This is producing a total output of 740 HP (552 kW) and it’s mated to a seven-speed ISR robotized manual transmission which is allowing the supercar to reach a top speed of 354 km/h (220 mph). Additional details on the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, or the Veneno Spyder, depending on what name it will wear, are limited for the moment and will probably be announced next month in Frankfurt or next year in Geneva.
