Lamborghini still hasn’t approved the Urus Concept for production despite the model being unveiled more than two years ago.
If you are a fan of luxury SUVs or SAVs or whatever they’re called, than the large Lamborghini model is probably your dream ride but if you were hoping to get your hands on one soon, you’re in for a big surprise because the company still hasn’t approved it for production. According to the guys from Autocar, who have spoken to some “insiders”, the production of the model is still being discussed because the main concerns are with the global economy and the Middle East instability.
Initial rumors were saying that the final production version of the Lamborghini Urus SUV should be hitting the market by 2017, but it seems that the final variant of the model is uncertain at the moment. If it will indeed hit the market, than the production version of the Lamborghini Urus will be riding on the MLB platform, made by Audi, which will be upgraded and will underpin the second generation of the popular Q7, along with the successors of the Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg, but let’s not forget the Bentley EXP 9F either. The model will come with a V8 engine, with a W12 option and even with a hybrid powertrain.
