After officially presenting the new limited edition of the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale, the Lamborghini president Stephan Winkelmann has made an important announcement for fans of the Italian automaker, the Sesto Elemento will be hitting the production line.
The revolutionary supercar presented last fall at the Paris Auto Show will be manufactured in 20 units after a sympathy wave that “hit” the prototype and the best thing about it is its engine because Lamborghini didn’t shrunk it or made it hybrid or even electric.
The Sesto Elemento will be powered by the same 5.2 liter, V10 powerplant as the Gallardo Superleggera, delivering 570 horsepower and thanks to its weight of only 999 kilograms the supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, which is less than a second faster than its “brother”.
Stephan Winkleman also said that the production version of the Sesto Elemento will come with the same bodywork as the prototype.
Besides the Sesto Elemento going into production, Lamborghini is also preparing a surprise for its fans by expanding the brand and manufacturing either a sedan or an SUV, wanting to attract more customers with it.
Even if the Lamborghini official didn’t announce any price for its Sesto Elemento, the supercar, which will be made in 20 units, is rumored to be around $3 million, pocket change for its future customers.
