Lamborghini is planning to introduce the final production version of the Urus SUV by the end of 2016, and the model should be launched in early 2017.
The Lamborghini Urus and the Bentley SUV are two similar stories because neither company is giving us an exact statement in which to say that the models will be put into production, or not. The recent announcement is coming from an Audi chief, named Rupert Stadler, who is saying that the final production version of the Urus will be unveiled in late 2016. According to the company’s official, the Lamborghini Urus should make its way into dealerships one year later.
If it makes it into production, the Lamborghini Urus SUV will ride on the same platform as the Bentley EXP 9 F production, the Volkswagen Touareg, the Porsche Cayenne or the Audi Q7, which will be made out of steel and it will help the crossover to weigh around 4,400 lbs (1,996 kg). The engine lineup will include a 4.0 liter V8 and a 6.0 liter W12, borrowed from Bentley. A hybrid version of the Lamborghini Urus might also make its way onto the market. Additional details on the model remain unknown for the moment.
