Lamborghini is uncertain what to choose for its expected third model.
Lamborghini planned to unveil at the Beijing Motor Show a SUV, the successor of the Gallardo, under the trademark ‘Deimos’. But then, at the autoshow, the company came with the same model and stated it will be named Urus.
“The Urus is a very concrete idea for the future of Lamborghini – as a third model line and as the perfect complement to our super sports cars,” said Stephan Winkelmann, the company’s president and CEO.
Bt rumors say that the Lamborghini is still considering Lamborghini Estoque to be its expected third model. Although the model made its debut in 2008 at the Paris Motor Show, Lamborghini still hasn’t made a decision on the four-door supercar. But since the company recently revealed the Lamborghini Urus Concept it seems that CEO Stefan Winkelmann leans more towards the Urus than the Estoque.
It’s a choice between continuing brand traditions against taking it in a new direction. On the other hand the Estoque has higher chances since it definitely contains more Lamborghini magic than the Urus Concept. It’s just a matter of time until we find out for sure.
