The Italian based automaker Lamborghini has recently announced that a decision on producing the Urus Concept will be taken over the following months.
After it was officially presented to the public for the first time earlier this year, during the 2012 Beijing Motor Show, the Lamborghini Urus Concept is entering our news once again, this time with an announcement made by the company. During the Sao Paulo Auto Show last month, the Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, said that the VW Group hasn’t taken a decision yet to produce the Urus SUV, and when speaking to the press just yesterday, Winkelmann said that a final decision will be taken over the following months.
If it makes it into production, the Lamborghini Urus concept will ride on the same platform as the Bentley EXP 9 F production, the Volkswagen Touareg, the Porsche Cayenne or the Audi Q7, which will be made out of steel and it will help the crossover to weigh around 4,400 lbs (1,996). The final production version of the Lamborghini Urus Concept is expected to hit the market sometimes in 2017 and it will be powered by the new 6.0 liter W12 engine borrowed from Bentley, or by the smaller 4.0 liter V8. Prices for the model should be set at 200,000 USD.
