Lamborghini Urus will compete against next generation Ferrari FX70

According some close Lamborghini sources, Sant’Agata Bolognese factory is working on a new sport coupe based on Jota platform, called Urus.

Interesting think, and what makes this information very credible, is that Audi announced today that is working on a new R8 version, based on … Jota platform.

Lamborghini Urus will be powered by the current V12 powerpant with direct injection but downsized slightly to 6.0L. However the powerplant will generate ~ 800 HP. It will use a carbon-fiber tub and carbon-fiber and aluminum bodywork to keep weight to a minimum and that it will stretch out even longer than the big Murcielago. With such “architecture” Urus will be capable to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds.
