Lamborghini has defied the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show by officially presenting the Veneno Roadster at a private event in Beverly Hills.
The Italian based automaker Lamborghini has preferred to present its brand new Veneno Roadster at a private event in Beverly Hills than to bring it to the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. The model in question is the most expensive convertible currently available for order after the company has priced it at a whopping 5.3 million USD, but if you decide to pay this amount, don’t expect a roof, because the supercar will only get a rollover bar, to improve its stability.
The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster is taking its power from the same 6.5 liter V12 engine, as the Veneno Coupe, which has been made for the Aventador and it’s producing a total output of 750 HP (552 kW). The unit is mated to an ISR transmission, with 5 selectable modes, which is sending power to the AWD, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 356 km/h (221 mph). Only 9 units of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster will be produced so if you want to buy one, you should contact the carmaker as soon as possible, because there may be a possibility of all of them being already sold out.
