The upcoming Lamborghini Veneno Roadster will be able to reach a top speed of 221 mph (356 km/h), which is pretty impressive for a convertible supercar.
The announcement hasn’t been made official by the Italian based automaker just yet but according to the guys at Jalopnik, the new Lamborghini Veneno Roadster will be able to reach a top speed of 356 km/h (221 mph). The model in question will be based on the limited edition Lamborghini Veneno and it will become the most expensive convertible money can buy, standing at 5.3 million USD. Don’t expect a roof after paying this amount, because the supercar will only get a rollover bar, which will improve stability.
Power to the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster will be provided by the same unit found on the regular Veneno Coupe, which is a 6.5 liter V12, borrowed from the Aventador. The total output of the engine will stand at 750 HP (552 kW) and this will be sent to the all-wheel drive through an ISR transmission, with five selectable modes, which will allow the supercar to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 356 km/h (221 mph). The Veneno Roadster will weigh 1,490 kg (3,278 lbs), which means that the power-to-weight ratio will stand at 1,99 kg/HP. Only 9 units of the Veneno Roadster will be produced.
