Lamborghini’s 50th Anniversary model is teased

The Italian based automaker Lamborghini has recently teased the 50th Anniversary special model, which will probably be unveiled in May, this year.

After officially confirming a special model, which will be created in order to celebrate the company’s 50th Anniversary, just a few weeks ago, the very special vehicle is now being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker teasing it for the first time. According to the company’s CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, the model will be a one-off design and it won’t be a retro or a revival. Rumors are saying that the special Lamborghini model will cost 20-25 percent more than an Aventador and it will be a limited edition model.

The special Lamborghini 50th Anniversary model is expected to be unveiled on the 11th of May, 2013, at the company’s headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The last special Lamborghini supercar was named the Aventador J Speedsterand it was officially presented to the public earlier this year, during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The model came with a 6.5 liter V12 engine, producing 690 BHP and 690 Nm of torque (509 lb-ft). The unit was mated to the carmaker’s Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) transmission which sent power to the permanent all-wheel drive system.
