Back in 2010 during the Detroit Motor Show, Chrysler gave a surprise by showing the Lancia Delta hatchback rebadged as a Chrysler.
At that time we thought that the rebadged Delta will come in the US shortly after as a Chrysler. However, the Chrysler Group has presented the final production version but it is not for U.S. consumption.
Chrysler’s Delta is actually going to be sold in the UK and presumably Ireland.
Very little is changed from the original Delta model, only some new trimming details and bits and pieces in the front end design. Badges will be the main focus, literally switching Lancia items for Chrysler-branded ones.
It will come with a choice of two 1.4-liter units delivering 120HP and 140HP, and 120HP 1.6-liter or 200HP 2.0-liter turbo diesels delivering up to 61.4mpg UK combined (equal to 51.1mpg US or 4.6lt/100km) and emissions as low as 120g/Km.
UK pricing has yet to be released and will likely come with the actual market debut of the model, which is expected to take place shortly.
