Land Rover has recently revealed its newest creation, the DC100 Concept, also known as Defender Concept 100, at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo.
After being officially presented to the public back in September 2011, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Land Rover DC100 Concept has hit several other automotive events since then, but now the model has been shown in India too, at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo. As you probably already know from previous news, the Land Rover Defender Concept 100 and the DC100 Sport variant, are actually previewing the future generation of the Defender model, which will officially hit the market in 2015.
As a reminder, the Land Rover Defender Concept 100 is powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, which can be either diesel or gasoline, both of them coming with hybrid and plug-in capabilities. The engines are mated to an eight-speed transmission, and just as you would have probably expected, the model is coming with some minor changes, compared to the one being introduced at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and the Land Rover DC100 Concept has been developed on a light platform. Just as we said above, the DC100 is previewing the future generation of the iconic Defender model, scheduled for 2015.
