Land Rover has recently announced the Discovery Sport, which will come as a replacement for the Freelander.
After releasing the Discovery Vision Concept recently, during the 2014 New York Auto Show, Land Rover has announced that the production version of the model, the Discovery Sport, will come as a replacement for the Freelander. The model in question will get a refreshed styling and, despite its name, the Discovery Sport, this won’t be faster and more expensive than the current Discovery.
The SUV will be a brand new vehicle which will replace the current Freelander and it will become available with five and seven seats. New technologies, some of which are found on the Discovery Vision Concept, will be adopted onto the final production version of the model. The new Land Rover Discovery Spot will make its public debut this October, during the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
The new Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept has been introduced recently in New York. The model looks similar to the Range Rover but it has a smaller body, invisible handles, aggressively styled C-pillars, slimlined wing mirrors, the transparent hood technology, the Remote Control Drive and others. More details on it remain unknown for the moment.
