Land Rover Freelander 2 facelift was launched in India image

JLR has recently announced the launch of the Land Rover Freelander 2 in India, where the SUV can now be ordered from Rs 38.67 lakh.

The facelifted Land Rover Freelander 2 is coming with some limited changes including the LED daytime running lights, the redesigned headlights, the new tail lamps, the newly-designed 17-inch alloy wheels on the top of the line HSE trim level and three new colors. The cabin of the Land Rover Freelander 2 facelift is now getting a revised dashboard with fewer switches, an electric parking brake, a 7-inch color touch screen for the satellite navigation system and Meridian sound system, a rearview camera and more.

“The Freelander 2 has proved to be extremely popular with Indian customers and this new model brings a more premium look and feel to the overall driving experience. This is another step forward for the Freelander 2, where outstanding standard equipment levels, superb design, safety and all-terrain capability continue to set the standards in this class”, said the Jaguar Land Rover India vice president, Rohit Suri.

The 2013 Land Rover Freelander 2 is powered by the same 2.2 liter common-rail turbo diesel engine, which is coming in two outputs, 148 BHP and 187 BHP, both of them mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Prices for the facelifted Freelander 2 start at Rs 38.67 lakh for ht TD4 SE and they can go up to Rs 43.92 lakh for the top of the line SD4 HSE trim level.
