The British based automaker Land Rover is planning to develop a convertible version of the Evoque, which might make its way onto the market sometimes next year or in 2015.
The Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet is close to having a real rival, in the shape of the Range Rover Evoque Cabrio, which is expected to get the green lights for production. The model in question has been already unveiled, back in 2012, during the Geneva Motor Show, in a concept form, but the original announcement said that it won’t make it into production. However, the latest rumors are saying that the model will probably receive the green lights.
According to the guys at Car Advice, Land Rover is currently considering the development of a convertible Range Rover Evoque. An official announcement on the subject might be made sometimes next year. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment, but as a quick reminder, the concept vehicle was 75 kg heavier than the standard model. The Evoque Cabrio Concept received a fully retractable roof system, roll-over protection, surround cameras, park assist, terrain response, 8-inch dual view touch screen, Meridian audio system and 21-inch wheels, amongst others.
