This is the first official glimpse of the model ahead of the worldwide public debut scheduled for September 28, with the entire front end of the new Discovery being revealed in one take.
The all-new Land Rover Discovery, or LR4 if you live in the US, will premiere just prior to the Paris Motor Show unveiling, and Land Rover have decided to share a first teaser image – presenting the entire front side. Land Rover has remained mysterious by not presenting anything else about the new Disco, instead quoting chief design officer Gerry McGovern: “The new Discovery redefines the large SUV. Land Rover’s design and engineering teams have revolutionised the Discovery DNA to create a highly desirable, extremely versatile, and hugely capable premium SUV.”
The Discovery looks like a blown up Discovery Sport, and also has a large inspiration from the Discovery Vision Concept from 2014. The Discovery will still remain as rugged as always, though more modern and elegant in design. And the reports are already discussing a hardcore off-road version – coming from Special Vehicle Operations. The interior should feature a Disco Sport inspiration, complete with the company’s new 10.2-inch touchscreen display for the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system.
