The British based automaker Land Rover is planning to develop a new SUV which will be smaller than the current Evoque and it will probably wear the Range Rover badges on its body.
The Range Rover Evoque has been well received by customers worldwide and because of this, added to the fact that the competition is already developing urban crossovers, the British based automaker is planning to develop a new SUV which will be even smaller than the Evoque which, theoretically, should become even more popular than the model mentioned above, mainly thanks to its lower price and to the fuel efficiency, which will be improved.
“Certainly, I think we can go smaller. Ina world focusing on sustainability you could argue that smaller and lighter is the way to go”, as the Land Rover designer, Gerry McGovern, told Automotive News Europe.
According to our source, Land Rover isn’t the only SUV manufacturer considering smaller models and Audi is thinking of a Q1 SUV, which will fit below the compact sized Q3. Additional details on the upcoming Land Rover Range Rover urban crossover are limited for the moment but we will keep you updated on the subject.
