While it’s still losing money on each vehicle it makes, we can’t say Bugatti is not doing a great job at establishing its brand name and lifting in the process the entire Volkswagen group.
During the Geneva Motor Show (6-16 March), the company is showcasing its fourth (out of six) Legend Series vehicle, the ”Rembrandt Bugatti“ – which it’s now already sold out to customers in the Middle East and the US. Not to say a three cars production is hard to sell, but at the current asking price of 2.18 million euros, the Bugatti is not your average supercar.
The latest Bugatti Legends vehicle, the ”Rembrandt Bugatti“, celebrates Ettore Bugatti’s brother, which was one of the one of the most famous sculptors of the 20th century. The vehicle is as always based on the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse – good for 1200 hp and 1500 Nm, that are more than enough to reach 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds on its way to the electronically limited top speed of 375 km/h (233 mph).
The fifth Legends model of the Bugatti limited series will premiere at the Auto China 2014 in Beijing taking place in April.
