Yesterday, information’s on the 2011 Dodge Challenger was revealed by the folks at Ontario Street Car (OSC).
As mentioned below, Dodge brand CEO, Ralph Gilles, supposedly said that the new 2011 Dodge Challenger could break the four-second barrier when it comes to 0-60.
Apparently during the presentation for the 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8’s and limited 392 editions, Dodge brand CEO Ralph Gilles was quoted as saying the cars would hit 0-60 MPH in the 3-second zone, indicating an actual horsepower number much higher than 475.
On the V6 side, the 2011 Dodge Challenger gets Chrysler’s new 3.6-liter Pentastar motor with 305-hp and 268 ft-lbs of torque – an increase of 50-hp and 18 ft-lbs.
The 2011 Challenger SRT will be powered by the new 392 Hemi (6.4L) – offering 475 horsepower and 460lb-ft of torque. This is an improvement of 50 horsepower and 40lb-ft of torque over the 2011 Challenger SRT8.
