Alongside the alleged production version of the regular Giulia versions, the Italian brand is apparently also preparing for the Swiss event the refreshed 2016 Giulietta compact.
What we have here are seemingly official press pictures of the updated compact hatchback that should be on the Geneva Motor Show floor on March 1. The sporty and still fresh Italian compact car has decided to go for a mild upgrade pack: new front bumper, slightly modified headlights and different LED taillights. The models depicted here also include the Veolce version, designed to replace the QV – and by the way an online reveal of the model has been scheduled for later today. Reports put prices starting from 22,000 euros in Italy if the owner goes for the 1.4-liter engine packing 120 horsepower – with Alfa DNA switch, Q2 electronic differential, and a 5-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system as standard.
Other options include dual-zone automatic climate control, 16-inch alloy wheels, aluminum pedal covers, 6.5-inch Uconnect RadioNav Dab infotainment system, 9-speaker BOSE stereo, and even power lumbar control. The middle trim – Giulietta Super – grants you access to the 1.4-liter petrol with 150 or 170 hp and a couple of turbodiesels – 2.0 JTDm packing 150 and 175 PS. The Giulietta Veloce is here to replace the QV and will sport 240 hp from the 1750 TBi four cylinder turbo – mated to a dual-clutch transmission.
