The first image depicting the side profile of the next-generation BMW 7-Series has recently hit the web.
BMW may be releasing a ton of images with the new 7-Series generation but since they are all showing the camouflaged model, a photo like the one posted above will attract more eyes to it as it is revealing the side profile for the very first time ever. The model in question has received a lot of chrome and chances are that this is the Luxury Line version, so don’t expect this much chrome on other versions too. The particular ride looks basically like a bumped 5-Series and there is no surprise in this because the carmaker is applying a similar design to all the model in its lineup.
The car manufacturer says that the flagship vehicle will drop about 130 kg from its total weight, compared to the outgoing version, and this will be made thanks to the usage of materials such as the carbon fiber reinforced plastic, aluminum and others. As far as the cabin goes, this is believed to get the touchscreen iDrive system, which will be a first for a BMW, and besides the updated design and the better quality for the used materials, the car will also get a lot of new technologies, including the remote parking system and the gesture control. We are not sure at this time what will the engine lineup of the car be but more details on the topic will be announced during the Frankfurt Motor Show, in September, where this is expected to debut.
