A few images with the upcoming 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible have recently leaked all over the web, ahead of the model’s official unveil scheduled for later on today.
Chevrolet has already confirmed the introduction of the second body style of the new Chevrolet Camaro, the Camaro Convertible, just a day ago, in its teaser video, and now time has come to check it out in the first images, which have recently leaked all over the web. The model in question is adopting a soft top but other than that it is following the exact footsteps of its solid roof brother, getting the same design on the front end, on the rear end and in the cabin too.
We are not exactly sure at this time whether Chevy will decide to slightly update the Camaro Convertible compared to the coupe but one thing is sure, the engine lineup between the two will be shared and at this time, this means that you should expect the 275 HP (205 kW) & 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged unit, along with the 3.6 liter V6, producing 335 HP (250 kW) and 385 Nm (284 lb-ft) of torque. The current range-topping version of the Camaro is the SS which has a larger 6.2 liter V12 unit under its hood, capable of sending 455 HP (339 kW) and 617 Nm (455 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. More details on the Camaro Convertible will be announced later on today, when the model will be unveiled.
