The 2016 Lincoln MKX has recently leaked out all over the web, in its production version, ahead of its public debut which will take place at the 2015 NAIAS, in Detroit.
After it has been previewed by the MKX Concept at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show, the brand new Lincoln MKX, in its final production version, has shown its design over the web in some leaked images. The vehicle has a stylish front fascia, plastic body cladding, a new front grille, LED headlights, muscular rear fenders, a panoramic glass roof and several other tweaks which should put some space between it and the one-off model.
The 2016 Lincoln MKX’s cabin is coming with high quality materials including the wood trim, metallic accents, premium leather upholstery and so on. The interior design is now looking more modern and we can also notice the Revel Audio System, the floating center console, the improved infotainment system and several other goodies.
The new Lincoln MKX will be based on the Ford Edge and this basically means that it will offered with front-wheel drive in standard and with the all-wheel drive as an option. As far as the engine goes, the 2.7 liter EcoBoost V6, with its more than 300 HP (224 kW), will be found under its hood. The production version of the MKX will be officially unveiled on the 13th of January, during the North American International Auto Show, in Detroit, and more images with it will be announced then.
