The facelifted ‘Stang has been officialized for some time, but there are still lots of details left in the dark – and for sure fans of the ubiquitous pony car want the full scoop.
The 2018 Mustang, updated for the model year, has previously been detailed a bit in a fleet brochure – and it’s now leaking new and juicy details via an order guide companion. The paper is very important because it gives a full scoop of the most important options for the refreshed version, and interestingly enough there’s something that will make aftermarket specialists weep for losing a share of their clientele. Labeled order code 68C in the companion, this interior package is apparently giving a makeover of the cockpit aesthetics in lightweight carbon fiber – via trim for the instrument panel and shift knob, ebony leather-wrapped seats with Alcantara detailing, as well as Alcantara door inserts.
There are also other interesting options – Black Accent Package (60B) to go hand in hand with the new Carbon Sport Interior, complimenting it with 19-inch Ebony Black wheels, a black-painted decklid spoiler, and black badging. The companion also describes two performance package. One for the GT (67G), coming with bespoke front air splitter, rear wing spoiler, strut-tower brace, K-brace, upsized rear sway bar, and bigger radiator. The EcoBoost also gets its own Performance Package (67E) – and there is also info about previously known packages, such as the EcoBoost Wheel and Stripe Package or the EcoBoost Premium Pony Package.
