The first images with the upcoming BMW X4 M40i have ended up on the web, showing us what to expect from the new version of the midsized crossover.
BMW is getting ready to introduce yet another version of the X4, which will be known as the X4 M40i. The model in question is no longer a surprise for us since our colleagues from BimmerToday have managed to get their hands on the first official images with the vehicle, ahead of its introduction which will be most likely taking place by the end of this year. This particular version of the crossover will be the most powerful one of the X4 in the range.
According to our source, the new BMW X4 M40i will be debuting in a couple of weeks but spotting the differences between it and a regular X4 equipped with the M Sport package will turn out to be quite tricky. Changes include the new trim accents on the front bumper and on the side mirror caps, a set of twin exhaust pipes at the rear and a set of bespoke 19-inch alloy wheels. In the cabin we can find the exclusive sports steering wheel and the X4 M40i lettering on the door sills. The most important part will be found under its hood where the 3.0 liter six-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit will be putting down a total of 360 HP (265 kW). From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), this model will need 4.9 seconds and top speed will be electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
