The all-new 2019 Corvette ZR1 is mere days away from an alleged official introduction in front of the worldwide audience of the… upcoming Dubai Motor Show.
The reports are actually stating just a fraction of the audience is going to see it in person – the high-performance machine being revealed at a private event in Dubai, ahead of the official larger introduction at the LA Auto Show later this month. Never mind that, because courtesy of the world wide web we actually get the chance to sample the ZR1 beforehand. It seems manufacturing for the new ZR1 will start two to three months after the Corvette’s reveal in Los Angeles, while the 2019 Corvette order guide might be released as early as November 20.
More so, there are reports the 2018 Corvette is going to have a short life span of just four months – as the brand prepares for the arrival of the ZR1 and the upcoming new mid-engined Corvette, with both sharing the line at Chevy’s Bowling Green, Kentucky, production facility. The new ZR1 is expected to first be seen on Sunday, November 12, a day before the start of the Dubai Motor Show – with an alleged cover from Car and Driver showing the model in its entirety and revealing it will have a 750-horsepower (559-kilowatt) V8 engine under the hood.
