We’re used to seeing important models leak just ahead of their intended official introduction, so no surprise seeing the new generation Porsche Cayenne sport its evolutionary clothes before actually reaching the catwalk.
So, without further ado, these are the early photos of the updated top-selling SUV that will embrace the third generation for the sports car automaker. The images – which leave nothing to the imagination, on the outside or the inside – are most likely legitimate, because we already imagined the large crossover would present itself with a new design that builds on the previous model. The front end is actually misguiding – you’re really going to have trouble making out the two generations – there’s a barely noticeable bigger center grille in between two smaller air vents. The side is a tad more dynamic, with the sloping roofline previewed by the official sketches.
The major departure from the current, second generation is the rear end – taking inspiration from the Panamera with slender lights way smaller than the current installation as well as single light bar. Moving inside, Porsche has provided us with a new center console putting front and center the large screen infotainment system. The Cayenne is brother with the Audi Q7 and the equally new and upcoming next Touareg – all riding on the group’s new MLB Evo architecture.
