We weren’t expecting this kind of surprise just yet, but here comes the facelifted 2018 Ford Mustang in all its unofficial glory courtesy of a leaked video that has surfaced across the web.
Apparently in this promotional clip that was meant to be seen only after the official introduction of the model is the 2018 Mustang GT 5.0, also fitted with the Performance Package. As far as we can tell, this is a mild update, with certain subtle tweaks on the front end design – such as refreshed headlamps with a small lip on the bottom, longer LEDs as well as a resculpted bumper featuring different air intakes – the triangular ones are the most striking. It also gets a modified hood and at the back Ford has also reworked the taillights while maintain the usual trio look.
The interior hasn’t been leaked as well, but some revisions are to be expected in there as well. Among the other details that haven’t been confirmed yet we can include the rumors about Ford axing the entry-level 3.7-liter V6 to leave the 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost four cylinder as the entry-level option everywhere around the world, as well as the introduction of the Ford- Gm co-developed new 10-speed automatic gearbox already featured inside the Ford F-150 and the Chevy Camaro ZL1.
