While Land Rover will most likely hold off from revealing the Velar until next week on the floor of the Geneva Motor Show, we actually already know how the new Range Rover version will look like thanks to the all-mighty Internet.
So, without further ado, here’s the next item on the list of affluent buyers that want a coupe-SUV and think Land Rover’s Range Rover exudes more elegance and off-road prowess than the BMW X6 or the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. The all-new Range Rover Velar has been leaked online by a Spanish media outlet – so here’s the new version that will neatly slot in between the Evoque and the Range Rover Sport. Since we’re dealing with an image portfolio leak, there are no technical details available just yet.
We do expect – judging by the size – the Velar to get four- and six-cylinder powertrains in turbocharged and supercharged modes, both from the top of the roster in the Evoque and entry to middle roster of the Range Rover Sport. Speaking of design, the Velar is certainly putting to shame the X6 and especially the bulky GLE Coupe – though the inside is nothing to write home about as it apparently doesn’t feature any innovation compared to the latest Land Rover offerings.
