The first image with the Infiniti Q30 premium hatchback has leaked ahead of its public debut which has been scheduled for the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September.
Nissan’s luxury brand Infiniti is getting ready to officially pull the wraps off the new Q30, at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in a couple of months, and this is no surprise anymore considering the fact that a camouflaged prototype has been already spied. What comes as “something new” is the fact that no one outside the company knew what this will actually look like, until now that is, because the first leaked image with the model has ended up on the web, revealing its front fascia, its side and its appealing lines.
The model in question is quite different than the study and we can notice the front bumper with the integrated fog lamps instead of the chrome trim, the different lower grille, the conventional door handles replacing the futuristic ones, the familiar front grille and slender headlights, the slightly sloping roofline and the new double five-spoke wheels. Rumor has it that this is the 2.2d version of the car, which will be taking its power from the 2.2 liter diesel engine made by Mercedes-Benz. In the Q50, the unit is capable of producing a total of 170 HP (125 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, so expect a similar output on the hatchback. The engine will be connected to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic transmission. The Q30 will be produced at the Nissan Sunderland facility, along with the QX30 crossover.
