Apparently the well-known JL Wrangler Forums have gained a photo from a tip, allegedly originating from a sheet metal fabricator.
We did our best to compare the seven-slot grille with the latest spy shots on the Internet and the newest digital artist renders to see if this is the real deal, and as far as we can see there are no more cutouts for the turn signals, so they have been repositioned on the front fenders. Also absent is the Jeep logo, meaning it has been replaced with one sitting on the hood. This new image also shows the Wrangler JL’s radiator grille packing rounded lower corners – the idea is corroborated by the latest spy shots and we might see it increase in size as well.
The latest generation Wrangler will most likely appear for the first time in front of the worldwide audience during the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show in November and start exiting the assembly lines in Toledo, Ohio, the same month. Jeep will deliver the new generation early 2018 to its dealerships and a year later it will be followed by the new pickup version. As far as powertrains are concerned, a vast array of engines should become available – including mild hybrid and full hybrid versions later across its life cycle.
