The first images with the leaked Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe have recently hit the web and they are showing us exactly how the model will be looking like.
After pulling the wraps off the new generation of the C-Class Coupe, the German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has kept the range-topping version into the shadows, and all we’ve seen so far were some spy videos and photos, along with some renderings. But things have definitely changed as some images have appeared during a presentation which have revealed the mode’s aggressive front bumper, the sporty lower air intake, the single bar grille, the aerodynamic side skirts, the trunk mounted spoiler, the stylish rear bumper, the V8 Biturbo badging and several other goodies.
The vehicle in question is also getting a four tailpipe exhaust system, which has been incorporated into a new diffuser. The most important part of the 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe is found under its hood, where the same 4.0 liter V8 twin turbo engine, borrowed from its four-door sedan brother or from the AMG GT, is resting. This is capable of putting down a total of 503 HP (375 kW) and 698 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, in the range-topping C63 AMG S Coupe version. Power will be sent to the wheels through a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission, which will allow the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.0 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 290 km/h (180 mph). The Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe should make its public debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in mid-September.
