It appears the American luxury brand has decided to keep the XTS model around, with a fresh leak depicting it with its all-new look before the actual official announcement.
These alleged leaked photos depict the 2018 Cadillac XTS ahead of its intended arrival – with the model looking more like a facelift than a complete makeover, because lots of body elements have remained the same. The XTS does have a lot in common with the CT6 now, with the complete new front end, an all-new grille and a family-friendly pair of angled headlights to morph the XTS into a more appealing ride. The rear gets a symmetrical styling through the taillights, which flow from the vertical position on the trunk to a horizontal one on the bumper.
Inside, the cabin is expected to take cues from the latest models – Cadillac’s new CUE infotainment system and new materials are to be expected, along with technologies taken straight from the CTS and CT6. The new XTS will be using GM’s latest E2XX architecture – which is actually an evolution of the ongoing Epsilon II platform, getting a new nine-speed automatic and an updated 3.6-liter V6, complete with optional all-wheel drive.
