The new generation Porsche Panamera is being increasingly targeted by the spying community and after the first shot of the interior we also get the first glimpse of the exterior design thanks to a leaked brochure.
We’re not getting the same great resolution picture as in the cockpit leak, but since the Panamera is only due out officially during this fall at the Paris Motor Show, this grainy photo will have to do in the meantime. If this is indeed the real deal – do take it with a pinch of salt – we’re looking at the completely undisguised all-new 2017 Porsche Panamera sedan. The image shows a very evolutionary styling treatment for the four-door, with a better handled transition from the roofline to the rear deck, a lower nose, and various modifications to the lighting clusters. We can also highlight the more evident bodyside crease that extends from the top of the front fender vents and goes through the door handles.
The cockpit is a different picture tough, as the new generation will be adopting a minimalist approach and get rid of the button-heavy console in exchange for a more elegant touch screen complete with touch capacitive controls. The leaked image also depicted a bigger infotainment screen and new shifter design. The 2017 Porsche Panamera uses the Volkswagen Group’s new MSB modular architecture, meaning we can expect a weight drop – with powertrains including V6 and V8 units, as well as diesel powerplants in Europe.
