Good for kids all ages, the latest Lego set introduces the Caterham 620R to the world of Lego blocks, allowing anyone to build their own replica, detailed up to the removable engine cover.
Caterham Cars is well known for allowing you the option to have the models completed in the assembly facility, or have them built at home from a kit. Now if daddy plays in the garage building a car, the little kid can also do the same inside the home thanks to Lego’s new Caterham 620R set – which could represent an ideal gift for a collector as well, next to other goodies such as the Volkswagen Beetle and Ferrari F40 replicas. The Caterham kit stands in at more than 770 pieces, which is anyways below the VW Beetle at 1,167 parts or the astonishing 2,704 bricks for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
This particular roadster is pretty much a dead giveaway thanks to the bright yellow hue with black stripes down the hood, and the side-mounted exhaust looks over the top. There are removable sections for the nosecone and engine cover, as well as the trunk while inside the cockpit there’s a functional steering wheel. Once built, the Caterham 620R will be 11 inches (28 centimeters) long, 5 inches (14 cm) wide, and 4 inches (10 cm) tall and retails starting next month for $79.99 in the U.S and 69 pounds in the U.K.
