Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus has recently introduced a new entry-level GS 300h during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in a premiere.

Lexus says that the new GS 300h will slot beneath the GS 450h and the F Sport version will get three new specific colors, like the Starlight Black, the F White or the Midnight Blue, along with the LED fog lights and some other tweaks.

“The fourth generation Lexus GS first went on sale in Europe in 2012 as a three model range comprising the GS 250, GS 350 AWD[1] and the high-performance flagship, the full hybrid GS 450h. Adding a fourth model to the range, the GS 300h will be launched at the end of 2013”, says the carmaker in its official press release.

The new Lexus GS 300h is powered by a 2.5 liter four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine, backed up by an electric motor, which are producing a total output of 223 HP (164 kW). The average fuel consumption of the new Lexus GS 300h will stand at less than 4.7 L / 100 km (60.1 mpg UK / 50 mpg US), while the CO2 emissions will be 109 g/km. Lexus didn’t announce any performance figures of the new GS 300h. The model will go on sale over the following months in Europe and its price will be announced close to its launch.
