The first spy photos with a new Lexus compact based coupe of the new IS have made their way onto the web.
Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus is currently working on the development of a new compact based coupe of the new IS, and the first images with the model have been recently captured by our spy photographers. The vehicle in question might actually be a performance version of the model which might be named the IS-F Coupe, but rumors are saying that the IS-F nameplate will be discontinued soon and replaced by a new two-door car, named the RC F.
The Lexus IS-F Coupe spied below seems to have a different front grille, headlights and bumper than the regular 2014 IS sedan and the model also appears to be longer and wider. This will become a direct competitor for the new BMW M4 and some reports are suggesting that it will be powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine. The new Lexus IS-F Coupe, or the RC F, as it might be named once it will hit the market, might also carry a six-cylinder engine under its hood. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its debut.
