Lexus has officially presented to the public the LF-A Roadster during the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon, taking everyone by surprise and attracting all the attention.
The Japanese based automaker Toyota and its luxury brand Lexus have taken everyone by surprise by officially presenting to the public the LF-A Roadster during the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon. The exotic Japanese vehicle has been placed into the spotlights and the public who was attending the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon has well received the LF-A Roadster. As a reminder, the new Lexus LF-A has been in production ever since December 2012 and the company will make 500 units, 20 each month.
“With Formula One inspired styling, the LF-A roadster marks a fundamental shift in supercar design. The positioning and sizing of major components have been redefined and condensed. By taking an entirely different approach to proportion and design, Lexus has achieved the optimum weight balance, so vital to high-speed handling and stability”, as the manufacturer says.
Lexus says that the LF-A is coming in two body styles, coupe and roadster, and the model has a front mid-engined layout with rear-mid transaxle and rear-wheel drive. The LF-A is powered by a 4.8 liter V10 engine with dual VVT-I, developing a maximum output of 560 PS at 8.700 rpm and having a peak torque of 480 Nm (354 lb-ft).
