Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus is planning to transform the LF-CC Concept into a Super GT racer, which will compete in the 2014 Super GT500 Series.
The Japanese based automaker Toyota has big plans for the Super GT500 series, where the old SC 430 will soon be replaced with a brand new racer. According to the car manufacturer, the model on which the new race car will be built will be the Lexus LF-CC and it seems that the vehicle is close to the competition as believed, as the carmaker has started testing the LF-CC Super GT at the Suzuka Circuit, in its homeland.
The brand new Lexus LF-CC racer will be easily distinguished from the concept car wearing the same name thanks to its dramatic styling, which will focus on aerodynamics and cooling efficiency. The race car will compete with the Honda NSX Concept-GT during the GT500 Series. Rumors are saying that a final production version of the LF-CC will hit the market, probably in coupe and convertible body styles, and it should get a rear-wheel drive hybrid powertrain, which will develop approximately 300 HP. Additional details on the subject remain unknown for the moment.
