Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus has recently announced its plans to put the LF-CC into production and the model should hit the market sometimes in 2015.
After it was officially presented to the public a couple of months ago during the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the Lexus LF-CC Concept is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with an announcement which is saying that the model will hit the production line. According to a source inside Lexus, the LF-CC Concept will be put into production and the final version of the model is expected to wear the RC 350 name, because the company has recently trademarked the name.
The final production version of the Lexus LF-CC might be offered as a Coupe or as a Cabrio and rumors are saying that the model will be based on a rear-wheel drive platform which is being used for the GS and for the IS models and it might actually come as a shorter wheelbase of the IS and with a wider track than the GS. Rumors are saying that the production version of the LF-CC will come as a hybrid, with a drivetrain similar to the one in the GS350h, which is providing 300 HP. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment.
