The impressive Lexus LF-LC Concept will be hitting the production line quite soon and it’s believed to go on sale with the “SC” nameplate.
One of the coolest looking cars out there is definitely the one-off Lexus LF-LC Concept and after being officially unveiled, a couple of years ago, the model is ending up in our news once again, this time with a rumor, which is saying that it might receive a production version. According to the guys from Autocar, who have recently spoken to Alain Uyttenhoven, the European vice president of Lexus, the model in question will be out in the next 6 years as part of the company’s plan of introducing a new car annually until 2020.
Rumors are saying that the Lexus LF-LC, in its production version, might be sold as the “SC” and it’s believed to come on the market sometimes in 2017, with the 5.0 liter V8 engine used on the RC F, where the unit is rated at 482 HP (355 kW). The engine is believed to be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. A hybrid version of the SC is also planned. The resurrected vehicle will come with a carbon fiber and aluminum construction and it should surpass the RC-F Coupe in terms of performance.
