A Roadster version of the Lexus LFA has been brought recently to Japan, at the 2015 Media Ambition Tokyo, where it was on display.
Speaking about the Lexus LFA may have no sense at this time, considering the fact that all units of the supercar have been produced and sold out for quite some time now, but whenever an LFA Roadster breaks cover, we simply cannot ignore it. This Lexus LFA Roadster has been on display recently, at the 2015 Media Ambition Tokyo, but we are not sure what is up with it. However, we will remind you that the LFA Roadster Concept has been shown at the Geneva Motor Show, back in 2008, but the supercar never evolved into a production version as the LFA was only offered as a Coupe.
The Lexus LFA has been put together in Motomachi, Toyota City, Japan, between 2010 and 2012 and it had a front mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout. The supercar made its first premiere, as a concept, back in 2005, followed by a second premiere in 2008. The production version has been introduced in 2009 at the Tokyo Motor Show. Power was being provided by a 4.8 liter V10 engine, which was rated at 560 HP (412 kW) at 8,700 rpm and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque, available at 6,800 rpm. The unit is connected to a 6-speed sequential transmission, operated with paddle shifters, and top speed of the supercar stands at 325 km/h (202 mph). From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the LFA needs 3.7 seconds.
