After a series of strange shots showing a super Lexus LS at the Nurburgring, the mystery has been solved.
The super Lexus is apparently called the TMG Edition, which stands for Toyota Motorsport GmbH.
The folks at AutoGuide have somehow managed to get shots of the Nürburgring-running prototype parked in a garage along with a conveniently displayed spec sheet, which gives us a lot more information about the sporty four-door shown testing on the ‘Ring.
It’s hyped up engine and scorching numbers will come to fruition when the vehicle debuts at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show in December.
Until then, according to the spied spec-sheet, the Lexus LS-F TMG Edition is powered by a 5.0 L engine that develops 478 kW (650 PS, 641 HP) – quite possibly a higher displacement version of the LF-A’s V10 or a turbocharged version of the IS-F’s 5.0L V8. Or perhaps a larger displacement version of the LFA’s engine? We have a feeling more will be revealed at the Tokyo Auto Show in December.
