Lexus has recently announced its plans to introduce the newly unveiled NX compact SUV to Australia, over the following months.
Originally introduced during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, just a week ago, the brand new Lexus NX is ending up in our news once again, this time with Toyota’s luxury brand announcing the introduction of the compact SUV to Australia. According to the guys at Car Advice, the full specifications have not yet been confirmed but the model is believed to get the adaptive suspension system, the 17- or 18-inch wheels and some LED headlights, amongst others.
Two versions will become available for the NX, the 2.5 liter petrol electric NX300h hybrid, which will arrive in the fourth quarter of 2014, and the 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder in the NX200t, which will be introduced in the first half of 2015. The hybrid will be coming with 194 HP (145 kW) and the turbocharged unit will be getting 235 HP (175 kW) and 349 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. FWD will be offered as standard while AWD will come as an option. Prices for the model will be set between 50,000 AUD and 60,000 AUD. More details on the Australian-spec of the NX are limited and will be announced close to its launch.
