Lexus has offered a first preview of the new RC Coupe ahead of the model’s public debut scheduled for the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.
After fully revealing the new Lexus RC Coupe in a photo gallery a couple of weeks ago, Toyota’s luxury brand is placing the model into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of an image, which is showing it on display at the 2013 Tokyo International Motor Show. The Lexus RC Coupe is based on the IS Sedan but thanks to different body panels it looks more appealing. The model in question will rival with the Audi A5 Coupe and with the new BMW 4-Series Coupe.
As far as the engine lineup goes, the Lexus RC Coupe will receive a 3.5 liter V6 gasoline, in the RC350, while the RC 300h will get a 2.5 liter unit, backed up by an electric motor. There will also be a top of the line version, called the RC F, which will get a larger 5.0 liter V8 engine under its hood. This unit will be good for 455 HP (339 kW) and 543 Nm (401 lb-ft) of torque and it will be unveiled at the 2014 NAIAS in Detroit, in January. More details on the rest of the RC Coupe lineup will be announced in Tokyo.
