Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus is planning to introduce the new RC and RC-F in autumn 2014, with the first one making its public debut in New York, next year, and the other one in Detroit, in January.
Toyota has big plans for its future models and some of these models will be the upcoming RC and RC-F. The two vehicles have been inspired by the LF-CC Concept and are getting a shorter wheelbase than the one found on the IS, a spindle grille and a starting price set at round 40,000 USD. Engine options will include a 2.0 liter turbo, a 2.5 liter hybrid and a 3.5 liter V6.
The more expensive 2014 Lexus RC-F will set you back for 100,000 USD and it will be 15mm lower, getting carbon fiber, hood, roof and trunk lid, along with some other tweaks which will help it reach a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph). The 2014 Lexus RC-F will be powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine, which will develop 455 HP (339 kW) at 6,800 rpm and 543 Nm (401 lb-ft) of torque, available from 5,200 rpm. The new Lexus RC-F will be officially unveiled during the 2014 Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS) in January and the 2014 RC two months later, during the New York Auto Show.
