The convertible version of the Lexus RC has been recently rendered and the images posted below might offer us a preview of a new body styles based on this model.
The Lexus RC Coupe has been officially unveiled just a few days ago and the model has already made quite a fuzz, being considered a rival for the brand new BMW 4-Series Coupe and for the Audi A5 Coupe, but it seems that this vehicle has more potential and Theophilus Chin has discovered it. The images posted below represent renderings of the Lexus RC Convertible and we’re pretty confident that such a model will eventually hit the market.
The future rival of the BMW 4-Series Convertible will get the same design as its solid roof brother, but its total weight might increase in order to compensate with the missing roof. A hard top might be added to the model but those interested in buying premium convertibles are usually into soft tops. As far as the engine lineup goes, this will be shared with the RC Coupe and it will include the 3.5L V6 gasoline unit, on the RC 350, or the 2.5L in the RC 300h, which also has an electric motor. The RC F will get a 5.0L V8 with 455 HP (339 kW).
