We’re all still mourning for Paul Walker even though he died more than two years ago, but we all know it – Hollywood goes on relentless.
And so, a new chapter in the Fast and Furious franchise is getting ready to open – as Vin Diesel has shed some light on the next installment after publishing the poster for the Fast 8 movie on his Instagram account. The 48-years old actor, actually born by the name of Mark Sinclair (by the way, did you know that?) will celebrate his seventh appearance in the series as celebrated character (we’re rooting for the “I don’t have friends, I have family” tagline to become a classic) Dominic ‘Dom’ Toretto. The poster is actually rather full of details – for example the subtitle reads “New Roads Ahead” and in the background we can see the New York landscape. Last year the actor who is delivering so many clues about the franchise because he’s also one of the producers also spilled the beans on the release date of the eighth movie in the franchise – April 14, 2017.
It also appears some of the new cast members – like fan favorite Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson alias Luke Hobbs – or Kurt Russel are also in for the ride, which is being handled by director F. Gary Gray after Justin Lin decided to try his hand on a space franchise, taking the helm of the Star Trek Beyond movie. By the way, the New York setting is a nod to the first movie, which according to Diesel’s comments back in November 2015 during The Tonight Show on NBC was supposed to take place in the sprawling metropolis.
