Lightning McQueen and Jackson Storm to compete for real in LMP3 image

The main characters from the Disney-Pixar animation Cars 3 are moving into the real life, courtesy of Craft-Bamboo Racing who is using the cars with their liveries this coming weekend.

The duo of LMP3 race cars will be adorned with the spectacular livery of the Cars 3 characters during the first two rounds of the new FRD LMP3 Series – the number 95 car will of course get the appropriate Lightning McQueen livery, complete with the red finish and yellow lightning decals – and the number 20 car is treated to the antagonist’s Jackson Storm livery with the grey, blue, and black finish. Both cars, as we can see, even come with eye decals on the windshield… but we’re pretty sure those will be peeled off when the race flag is ready to drop for the start of the race.

More so, the full Craft-Bamboo Racing pit garages will be joining the Cars 3 theme – one garage dedicated to McQueen and the other for his custom rival, Jackson Storm – and the pit crew will also embrace the Cars apparel. “We are proud to welcome the Cars franchise to Craft-Bamboo Racing for the inaugural round of the FRD LMP3 Series. We are very happy to work with Disney-Pixar and hope that fans all across China will enjoy the collaboration,” said CEO of Craft-Bamboo Racing Richard Coleman. The Cars-themed LMP3 racers will prove their worth on the track on June 30 in China at the Zhejiang International Circuit and then move to Shanghai on July 29.
